Very rare and highly optioned '57 Cameo pickup. Received a meticulous, professional, nut-and-bolt frame-off restoration 4 yrs ago, and has enjoyed 3300 miles of trouble-free sunny day drives since. The completely detailed chassis still isn't even dirty. This Cameo was optioned with power steering, power brakes, 4-speed Hydramatic transmission, AM radio (converted to AM/FM), rear package tray, and all the optional chrome side trim and the super rare chrome hood ornaments and wheel trim rings. Although very original in almost all aspects of the restoration, this Cameo does include a fully rebuilt 327 V8 out of a '67 Chevy Corvette, with a dual quad intake and carbs off a '62 Vette, plus utilizes the rare '57 "batwing" air cleaner. It starts, idles, runs, drives, and stops as good or better than when it was new. It also comes with ice cold Vintage AC and heat that is neatly installed with a subtle, original appearance. The bed utilizes red oak wood planks and high grade polished stainless bed strips and hardware. It is painted in factory GM Alpine blue with Bombay Ivory contrasts and is excellent throughout, with just a few minor chips/flaws that come from occasional use. Interior is the correct patterned cloth and vinyl, with deluxe door panels, new glass all the way around the cab, and a complete and fully functional set of factory gauges. The truck sits on new wide whitewall tires with color-keyed steel wheels, and as-new trim rings and styled hub caps, along with a matching spare tire and wheel of equal quality. Every piece of chrome trim on the truck is new/rechromed to show condition. Just over 2200 '57 Cameos were ever produced, and this example is surely one of the very nicest left.
